Estimating Remediation Costs and Sustainability Metrics Using the AFCEE Sustainable Remediation Tool with RACER~(TM)

The sustainable remediation tool (SRT) was recently released by the Air Force Center for Engineering and Environment (AFCEE) to provide environmental managers with a method of evaluating a set of common sustainability impacts for different remediation technologies. This Microsoft Excel-based tool is intended to aid environmental professionals in improving remedy effectiveness without increasing risks. The SRT is designed to be used as a planning tool for future implementation of remediation technologies at a particular site, it is also intended to be used as an evaluation tool to optimize remediation systems already in place.
