摘要

Based on the rapid and successful construction of a RCC gravity dam located in a high air temperature area of southern China, various engineering measures for prevention from cracking in concrete of the dam were studied. The high placing temperature was adopted during the construction in summer season while especially sophisticated measures of internal water-cooled pipes, external heat preservation, and so on were rationally and reliably accepted according to robust results from precious simulative analysis. In the paper being, the key academic support is the powerful and new numerical iterative procedure for strict numerical calculation and creative analysis of temperatures and thermal stresses in mass concrete with concentrated cooling water pipes.
