Solidly deposit formation has been inevitable problem in marine use turbocharger so far. It is due to low quality fuel for marine diesel engines, and the deposit formation may lead to the deterioration of the performance of turbocharger. In addition, the deposit is solidly so that it is difficult to be removed at periodical maintenance. Therefor it should be considered how the deposit forms and how to reduce the deposit. In this study, the experimental method which was able to evaluate the effect of the means to decrease the deposit such as surface treatment of metal was considered.
