DIVERSIFIED BUSINESS GROUPS AND CORPORATE RESTRUCTURING IN CHINA

摘要

This paper identified factors that affect the restructuring directions of Chinese business groups. The results indicate that compared to other ownership structures, government owned business groups tend to increase their business scopes, while private business groups tend to decrease their business scopes. Poor previous performance is also negative related to change in business scopes.
