Based on statics analyzing of pneumatic four-connecting lever roof-vent opener applied to multi-span plastic greenhouse, by considering intensity requirement, installation error, boundary and other restrictions, optimizing model taking for minimal output thrust of pneumatic cylinder as object is established. Pneumatic cylinders were selected according to optimizing results. Checking shows that the present system meets stability requirements. By changing load and structure parameters, the optimum programme can be used to design four-connecting lever pneumatic roof-vent opener for all kinds of multi-span plastic greenhouses. System installation and application show that the pneumatic roof-vent opener is low electricity consumption, faster response, more convenient installation and propitious opening enhancement as compared with the traditional one.
