Vitamin D deficiency is prevalent in Korean adults, affecting up to 80% of them [1]. Vitamin D deficiency, which impairs bone mineralization, may induce many diseases including chronic autoimmune, infectious diseases, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes. This appears to be associated with levels of the main metabolite, 25(OH)D [2]. We examined the association between serum levels of 25(OH)D and metabolite alterations in healthy Korean adults.
