摘要

We report on the inscription of Fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) in single mode polymer optical fibers (POF) using XeCl excimer laser light. Maximum index changes of Anac ≈ 1.7 × 10-4 were achieved. The UV-induced index changes are negative and vary strongly along the grating most probably due to material inhomogeneities. The POF grating response to temperature changes is -138 pm/°C under ambient conditions.
