FEASIBILITY OF OPTICAL STAR/RING NETWORKS FOR SMALL AREA COMMUNICATIONS

摘要

This paper examines the feasibility of optical networks for small area communications, focusing on star and ring physical configurations. It first outlines several attributes of small area networks, and presents the features of each configuration. Network feasibility verified by the path loss evaluation method is also given, together with evaluation results.
