A new method to solve the 3D transient electromagnetic field-circuit-torque coupled problem is described, in which the nonlinear magnetic properties , eddy-current effects and movement are taken into account. In the paper, the formulation of 3D magnetic linkage is derived and applied to analyze the field-circuit coupled problems. Besides, to calculate the torque easily and accurately, nodal force method is applied. The problem of motion is handled by using interpolation movement interface method which is a new kind of nonconforming movement technique. TEAM problem 24 is used as a test model. The detailed comparison of the numerical results with the measured ones will be described in the full paper.
