A time domain analysis is presented for Pulsed Eddy Currents (PEC) inspection based on Galois Sequences excitation. The method optimally exploit the correlation properties of Galois Sequences to obtain the system response by means of de-convolution. Since the contribution of the systematic noise increases with the defect depth and strongly worsens the time-response curves, we implement a linear prediction method to minimize the reconstruction error. Combining the de-convolution and the signal numerical processing, we are able to assess with high accuracy the defect depth.
