Introduction of the terms Green and Sustainable Chemistry in every chemist's research profile, the application of ball mills in Organic Chemistry becomes more and more important. The awareness of the advantages of reactive solid state organic chemistry makes this field of research one of the fast-growing and emerging ones. Within the last decade many investigations have been published covering the field of solid-state organic chemistry under ball milling conditions (reactions with fullerenes, C-C-coupling, oxidation, reduction).
