A Study on the E-Commerce Trade Model of Agricultural Products across the Taiwan Straits

In recent years, the cooperation between Mainland China and Taiwan plays an important role in promoting the development of agriculture between two sides. However, it also encounters great challenges because of the increasing speed of economic globalization and China's WTO accession. This paper analyses the current situation and problems in trade of agricultural products across the Straits, and points out the necessities of using E-Commerce model in the course of trading. On the base of discussing the current situation of agricultural E-Commerce in and out of China, we build a trade model across the Straits by analysis of the produce and sale model of the agriculture products. This kind of new business model integrates E-Commerce both in the horizontal and vertical ways, and also increases the efficiency of agricultural products' circulation.
