摘要

In our paper are presented some considerations about application of Coanda effect in cooling airflow control devices used by internal combustion engines. We have developed a family of cooling airflow control devices in the idea to improve thermal processes of internal combustion engines. The Coanda effect is used in flaps system of these devices to achieve a better distribution of the cooling airflow on radiator surface. The analysis of theoretical data certifies that flaps with Coanda contour achieve an adequate repartition of the cooling airflow on the radiator surface. Also, it has as effect the improvement of coolant cooling in the engine radiator and assures a sufficient air-cooling flow during power regime working.
