OPERATIONAL ASSISTANCE SYSTEM WITH DIRECT MANIPULATION OF FLOW RATE AND FALLING POSTION OF OUTFLOW LIQUID IN TILTING-LADLE-TYPE POURING MACHINE

In the casting industry, the operational pouring machine which can be manipulated by the operator in the remote site is often used for improving the working environment[l,2]. However, it is difficult to pour the molten metal precisely into the pouring basin by operating a tilting-Iadle-type pouring machine, because the pouring flow rate is varied by the tilting angle of the ladle. In order to solve this problem, the operational pouring machine with manipulatable pouring flow rate has been developed[3]. With this pouring flow rate manipulation system, the operator can manipulate the pouring flow rate directly. However, the falling position of the outflow molten metal on the upper surface of the pouring basin is varied by varying the pouring flow rate. Then, the spilling of the molten metal can be caused by the variation of the falling position.
