The targeted data analysis workflow facilitated the extraction of biologically relevant information in metabolomics experiments. The involvement of different metabolic and neuronal pathways was highlighted and potential biomarkers of IMI exposure have been discovered in the CNS of the freshwater snail L. Stagnalis.
