摘要

2D FT-ICR can be used for the identification of proteins and peptides in complex mixtures. The results obtained with 2D FT-ICR MS are comparable with those obtained with FT-ICR MS/MS, and the overall procedure is less time and sample consuming. The technique can still be improved for top-down analysis. The bigger limitation at present is tied to computational capacities.
