Experiment were conducted to determine the sorption capacities of atrazine and dicamba on a Nova Scotia soil. The use of LC-MS/MS facilitates high throughput and the acquisition of high quality data for mixtures of chemically diverse pesticides and their decomposition products. 3.) In the current investigation, neither atrazine nor dicamba achieved saturation, but the sorption capacity θ_(critical) for dicamba was extrapolated and found to be 0.75 μmol/g of soil. The maximum sorption capacity for atrazine is expected to be higher.
