Rapid Evaluation of Representative Panel of Illicit Compounds in Urine using DSA/TOF

Using sample preparation 1, Nine compounds (AMP, MAMP, MDA, MDMA, MDEA, PCP, Codeine, Morphine and THC-COOH) can be detected at low levels in urine matrix with DSA/TOF. THC-COOH had to be analyzed in negative ion mode to achieve this result with best sensitivity. Using sample preparation 2 was found to produce the best sensitivity for the tenth compound, BZE. The last compound analyte, 6-AM, could not be detected at low levels due to ion suppression, due to desired lower detection level and interference from matrix at the same mass as of 6-AM. The detection limits are around 150-300 ng/mL.
