Correcting mass shifts: Lock mass-free recalibration procedure for mass spectrometry imaging

Lock mass correction of MSI data is difficult as not all spectra contain the selected peak. Our method eliminates this requirement. Observed mass deviations in individual mass spectra were strongly reduced using our method. In the future, we want to compare these methods with existing recalibration methods, for different datasets, to demonstrate the performance and plausibility of our methods.
