摘要

The technique has been tremendously improved since it was first introduced. Quality of data was greatly enhanced with superior mass accuracy and resolution on theABI/Sciex QSTABI pulsari. The on chip method can be applied towards complex proteins harboring several posttranslational modifications. Microliter sample requirements with sensitivity in the pmole range, allowing for analysis of limiting sample. Complete treatment performed directly on chip (chemical and enzymatic) with sample analysis in a few hours. The on chip approach to protein characterization may be applicable to biomarker research, molecular diagnostics, monitoring of disease, and basic proteomic research.
