摘要

Peptide mass finger printing (PMF) and MS/MS analysis have become powerful methods for protein identification in a database search. Usually, these methods are very effective when the molecular weight of a protein is relatively large. However if molecular weight of a protein is less than 15 kDa, these methods tend to fail to identify protein because the number of available peptides is too limited to carry out database search in many cases. In order to cover this situation, we propose chemical de novo sequencing method on the MALDI-TOF MS target plate.
