IPMI Presentation June 2006: 'Emergency Planning, Don't Let It Be the Last Thing You Think About - or It Might Be'

The basis for a good Emergency Plan is to imagine the unimaginable and make plans to deal with it safely and effectively. While that may sound very simple, it seldom is. Imagining the unimaginable - that is the sad fact of our recent experience in this country. While no company can be fully prepared for all possible extreme or even likely events, we can better prepare for the unexpected by listing your exposures and your corresponding methods of dealing with them. This exercise will eventually take the form of a 'plan' and should involve input from all credible sources -^sEmployees, local services such as police, emergency response teams, fire department, departments of environmental protection and the Red Cross.
