MACH DEVELOPS A MAJOR COAL PREPARATION FACILITY IN SOUTHERN ILLINOIS

In June 2005, Mach Mining, LLC was formed to develop a major coal mining and preparation complex in Williamson County, Illinois. The preparation plant design is based on two 800 raw tons per hour (tph) modules to process approximately 15 million tons of raw coal annually from the new longwall mine. The plant incorporates proven and advanced coal cleaning technologies utilizing heavy medium vessels, heavy medium cyclones, compound spirals, and column flotation cells. Mach Mining has taken the step to be one of the first to revitalize the coal industry in Southern Illinois by developing the mine and constructing a state-of-the-art efficient coal preparation facility.
