THE DAWSON PROJECT

The Dawson Project is a significant expansion of the Anglo Coal Australia tenements. Dawson North and Dawson South Mines have been opened as well as a brownfields expansion of the old Moura Mine now known as Dawson Central. Dawson is located in the lower eastern edge of the Bowen Basin, Queensland, Australia. The project will increase total complex output from the 7Mt product Moura Mine into the new 13Mt product Dawson group of mines. The project features a new state-of-the-art preparation plant that will be one of the largest in Australia, designed to maximise return on the extensive and variable geology of the mine.
