Innovative Design of the Honey Creek Bridge

摘要

This project is a replacement of a deck truss bridge constructed in 1927. Simple-span steel girders are made continuous for live load similar to precast concrete beams. The final design includes an integral pier cap and diaphragm alternative that is not fracture critical and does not require post-tensioning in the field.
