Adjustable Double Deck - The Efficient Traffic Solution

During the last ten years the market for Double Deck applications has increased dramatically. In combination with intelligent destination traffic algorithms, an increase of traffic capacity was established within high rise-and super tall buildings. However, a big challenge for double deck applications is still the possibility to allow different floor heights within the building. For the purpose of allowing efficient traffic solutions in buildings with different floor heights Schindler is developing a new revolutionary Adjustable Double Deck product. Based on an innovative roping system - one Adjustable Double Deck car is used as a counterweight for the second car, one pulley is moving the two cars in opposite directions within the sling - it is possible to achieve minimal energy consumption for the displacement of the two cars toward each other. In this way, energy efficiency, traffic excellence and architectural flexibility are combined for the best solution for Schindler's customers.
