We present an analysis of IJK band lightcurves obtained from the DENIS photometric calibration starfield archive which were pro-duced by the Paris Data Analysis Center over the duration of the DENISsky survey programme. Several approaches to identification of poor qual-ity data in this archive are applied and to the classification of the resulting'cleaned' lightcurves. We discuss generalising these approaches to char-acterising databases with missing quality information using relationshipsbetween data incidents which are in close proximity in parameter space.
