The Alma Science Data Model

摘要

The Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA) is a telescope which will offer the astronomical community unprecedented capabilities.This paper describes some aspects in the design for the data model to beused with this telescope during the observing process and offline in theALMA Science Archive. This model, which inherits from the MS datamodel, must integrate seamless single-dish and interferometric data, ahighly flexible correlator, and new telescope operations. The data modelmust remain versatile and extensible.
