摘要

The thermal phenomena during friction between cast iron or silver pin and disc made of aluminium matrix composites has been investigated and described in this paper. The acting of ceramic reinforcing phase (Al_2O_3-Particles) content on thermal phenomena in pairings silver/AlMC and cast iron/AlMC was investigated. The aluminium matrix composite with matrix alloy 6061 and aluminia reinforcing phase were examined. It was stated that by higher alumina content generation of heat during friction increases. Temperature near friction surfaces in paring cast-iron/AlMC was higher than in paring silver/AlMC. That is very important for lubricated pairings. Oil migrates in zones, which have higher temperature, i.e. on the rubbing surfaces of aluminium oxide. That reduces the friction forces.
