A Method for Evaluating and Measuring Cloud Computing Business Process

Cloud Computing describes a new model supplying IT services based on Internet. It consists on supplying dynamic scalable resources, which can be accessed from the Web as if they were local programs on their own computers. In this new information management model, the "sensible" business data are not at the organization facilities, which generate a high vulnerability context to loss or theft information. From the business process management point of view, organizations are adapting to this new technologic tendency and need to move "their business on the cloud" to increase their competitiveness. This makes security the most important subject to consider in this model. Therefore, services suppliers on the cloud should adhere to quality standards. In particular, norm ISO 9126 establishes certain quality features that should be satisfy by all software products. This features, are extensible to Cloud Computing. In this context, we applied our defined method for business process evaluation, to evaluate Cloud Computing business process, supported by the service suppliers.
