Formation of synthetic magnesium silicate by precipitation from sodium silicate produced from rice hull ash silica and MgCl_(2) and MgSO_(4) solutions was investigated at four different reactant feed rate and two different temperatures (25 and 50 deg C). The final product was characterized by scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and TG/DTA analysis. Crystal size distribution (CSD) and filtration rate measurements were done. In order to define adsorptive properties of studied magnesium silicates isotherms of nitrogen adsorption/desorption on their surface were established. Brauner-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area of magnesium silicate produced at investigated conditions were determined as 397 +- 10 m~(2)/g and 342 +- 5 m~(2)/g at 25 and 50 deg C respectively.
