Dynamics of the weakly nonlinear Koiter shell

A class of physically nonlinear shells governed by monotone constitutive equations can be obtained by mild modification of the Koiter shell equations presented and discussed for instance by Ciarlet (2000). This paper presents the mathematical discussion of dynamics of such shells. The study involves the proof of existence and uniqueness and the proof of convergence of the mixed FEM-FDM scheme.
