Algorithm of Acquisition of Pulse Wave Characteristics

Pulse wave and its changing regularity are important to appraise heart fettle of people. The forming mechanism of pulse wave is helpful to find diversification disciplinarian of heart. And characteristics of pulse wave are the foundation of research. In this paper, a mathematical model of pulse wave simulated by three-Gauss (bell-like) functions approximated is issued to describe pulse wave and characteristic parameters of one pulse wave of the model can indicate the state of heart exactly. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is adopted to acquire characteristic parameters of the model. By this method, the cardiovascular disease can be examined without ravage. Great deals of clinical tests show that this method can acquire characteristic parameters of typical pulse manifestations in Chinese medicine effectively and efficiently.
