THE TOPOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF CHINA EDUCATION NETWORK

By searching the documents which belong to .edu.cn domain, we set up a complex directed network whose vertices are documents and whose edges are links (URLs) that point from one document to another. These 366422 documents with 540755 URLs are located in four different levels, and they constitute a complex directed network by self-organization. We find that most of the documents have incoming links, and a few documents have outgoing links, those have both incoming and outgoing links are very few in this network. We study the network's topological properties by the node degree distribution, Average path length, clustering coefficient, node (edge) betweenness. The network's in and out degree distribution has a power-law tail.
