This paper introduces the development actualities of W3C technology, and knowledge-based engineering. Aimed at the development demand of knowledge economy age and to meet the demand of product innovation and individual production quickly, it discusses the key technique of the system construction of knowledge-based engineering based on Web combining with Web technology; And it brings forward the basic system structure of knowledge-based engineering based on Web so as to offer theoretic foundation for further concurrent design and distributed design of product.
