摘要

The major objectives of this study are to experimentally investigate the effect of layers orientation and pores structure morphology on oil recovery by water and polymer flooding processes. In this work, a series of water and polymer injection process were carried out at varying conditions of flow rate, water salinity, polymer type and concentration on 5-spot glass micromodels which are initially saturated with the crude oil. Three different pore structures in combine with different layer orientations are considered for designing of 5 different micromodel patterns. The oil recovery was measured from analysis of continuously provided pictures during injection processes.
