摘要

The main scope of this study is the numerical simulation of the flow in a shrouded tail rotor for aero-acoustic prediction purpose. Instrumentation of a flight test helicopter (Dauphin) that will be used in a near future to validate the numerical approach is shortly described. Emphasis is laid on the implementation of CFD tools and aerodynamic prediction results. Noise prediction results are also presented. It is shown that a coupled CFD-CAA analysis can be useful to improve our physical understanding of the aero-acoustic behavior of a Fenestron.
