Bundling services is become major topic in Indonesia telecommunication environment to date, with the latest concept for triple bundle service based on HFC network as physical layer. TELKOM as incumbent TELCO Company in Indonesia has conduct the trial with DOCSIS 1.1 for delivering data services with QoS and Packet Cable 1.0 for delivering voice services based on NCS protocol. With the encourages of the technology pioneer, TELKOM has also done research on the performance of integrated WLAN cable modem to deliver multi services such as voice, data and video streaming with 802.11b IEEE standard specification. The 802.11b specification was developed through the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the same organization that developed the Ethernet standards. It allows for the wireless transmission of up to 11 Mbps of data at distances from several dozen to several hundred feet over the 2.4 GHz unlicensed band. The standard falls back to lower speeds when the signal degrades due to distance from the wireless access point, interference or other obstructions. Clients will try to connect at the full 11 Mbps, but the signal will automatically adjust to 5.5, 2 or 1 Mbps under challenging conditions.
