A Horizontal Take-off/Landing (HTHL) concept is proposed by using existing rocket engines and winged drop-tank and by applying a take-off assist such as Ekranoplane. This paper presents the results of the optimization problem related to this concept and on-going process of the proof-of-concept (POC) approach using a scale model accelerated by a high-speed boat to demonstrate the feasibility of the acceleration and the separation/take-off phase.
