Disodium 5'-inosinate (IMP, C_(10)H_(11)N_4Na_2O_8P·7.5H_2O, CAS Registry No. 4691-65-0) and disodium 5'-guanylate (GMP, C_(10)H_(12)N_5Na_2 O_8P·7H_2O, CAS Registry No. 5550-12-9) are usually applied as flavor enhancers in the food and pharmaceutical industry [1-3]. It is worthy of note that more powerful effect can be shown when IMP was used in conjunction with disodium 5'-guanylate in 1:1 mass ratio (known as disodium 5'-ribonucleotide, I+G). Disodium 5'-ribonucleotide is one of the best prospective fresh reagents [4-6].
