We consider a number of issues relevant to practical application of the microwave spectrum analyzer, which is made using a digital frequency synthesizer oscillator with a high resolution of (less than 1 Hz) and low phase noise. We developed a frequency synthesizer using a two-loop PLL synthesizer and direct digital synthesis (DDS) on the elemental basis of a high degree of integration, which allowed obtaining the required parameters, and providing multi-functionality and software-tunable operation for all elements and components of the spectrum analyzer.
