摘要

Robot localization is essential for navigation, planning, and autonomous operation. There are vision-based approaches addressing the robot localization and mapping problem in various environments. Constant changes in the environment, such as varying weather conditions and seasonal changes, and the need of expert knowledge to properly lay out a set of domain specific features makes it hard to develop a robust and generic solution for the problem.
