Crystallization induced by supercritical carbon dioxide as non-solvent is gaining importance, but pressurized vessels actually hinder in-situ monitoring of crystallization course. This paper explores for the first time the potentialities of Raman spectroscopy as a tool to determine the composition of the liquid CO_2-solvent mixture as CO_2 is introduced into the vessel and to monitor the desupersaturation profile of the solution as crystallization proceeds.
