An investigation on the performance of reinforced concrete beam-column joints strengthened with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) composites under various column forces is reported. Two interior beam-column joints were examined using different lengths of FRP reinforcement. One beam-column joint model without FRP reinforcement was used as a control specimen for comparison. Nonlinear finite element analysis was performed using the ANSYS program. The finite element analysis results indicated that the value of column axial force affected the load carrying capacity and stiffness of joints. Results show that designed carbon FRP reinforcement greatly improve the stiffness and load carrying capacity of its concrete counterpart were compared to the control specimen.
