The distributions of the unknown concentrations of 66 semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOCs) in the gas-phase (C_g) were predicted by Monte-Carlo simulation from their measured concentrations in the airborne particles (F) in the French dwellings. For 18 SVOCs including DEHP, phenanthrene, and tributylphosphate, the median C_g ranged from 1 ng/m~3 to more than 100 ng/m~3. C_g in French dwellings were generally in the same orders of magnitude compared to other European and North American dwellings, while C_g in Chinese and Indian dwellings were higher.
