摘要

Statistical space-time analysis is presented of structural features of the data obtained from color scanners such as MODIS and SeaWiFS for various coastal water areas. Digital images of the ocean surface were processed using the software developed at the Marine Hydrophysical Institute, Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as SEADAS and Visat programs. The possibilities of using such data are discussed with respect to the analysis of natural resources, ecology and dynamical processes in shelf zones, including those aimed at estimating the gross production, the transport of sediments, prediction of natural gas fields, securing fishery, determining main mechanisms of the formation of variability of oceanographic characteristics.
