摘要

The health monitoring system (HMS) constructed for the Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge (WYRB) is introduced in this paper. The objective of the system is to evaluate objectively and accurately the integrity and safely of the WYRB and operating conditions in real time. The HMS is composed of sensor subsystem, field data acquisition subsystem, remote monitoring and data transport subsystem and evaluation subsystem. It acquires the status information automatically, transmits the information to monitoring center remotely and then analyzes it, evaluates the health state of structure and gives an alarm in case of special climate, special load or serious abnormal operation. Being installed in field for one and half a year, the system fulfils the expectant goals. Key techniques to build and realize the HMS, such as automation of safety monitoring, reliability, special software designing, massive monitoring data analysis and processing, data communication etc., are also discussed. The HMS for the WYRB can be referenced by other similar monitoring systems.
