The effect of inhalation anesthetic halothane on the thermal denaturation temperature of bovine serum albumin (BSA) was studied by a method of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results were compared with those of palmitic acid. The denaturation temperature of BSA was enhanced by both halothane and palmitic acid, however, the former brought about the weaker effect than the latter at larger concentrations.
