Relationship between the splicing pattern of the Drosophila sodium channel gene and the phenotypic variety

Altered expression amounts or splicing of mRNA of Drosophila sodium channel mutants would be the cause of hypersensitivities to diethylether anesthesia and heat-induced paralysis. At present by Northern and RT-PCR analyses, no evident relationship was observed between the mRNA splicing patterns and ether anesthesia.
