Shenguang-III (SGIII) prototype facility is an 8-beam laser currently under constructionin China and will be used as driver of an inertial confinement fusion (ICF) system. Itrequires that 95% of the laser energy is focused into region of 10 times diffraction limit.To meet its beam quality specification, eight adaptive optical systems were built andtested, in which each system consists of a 45-channel deformable mirror and a 22 x 22Hartmann wave-front sensor. This paper describes the latest progress of adaptive opticson the SGIII prototype facility. Online experiments shows that after the static and thermalinduced aberration was compensated, typically the rms aberration of the residual wave-front was less than 0.2A, and 95% of the laser energy can be focused into a 7 timesdiffraction limit(DL) region.
